What is 5G:- General Knowledge

5G is the next - fifth- generation of mobile internet connectivity promising much faster data download and upload speeds, wider coverage and more stable connections. It's all about making better use of the radio spectrum and enabling far more devices to access the mobile internet at the same time. There are a number of new technologies likely to be applied - but standards haven't been hammered out yet for all 5G protocols. Higher-frequency bands - 3.5GHz (GigaHerz) to 26GHz and beyond - have a lot of capacity but their lower wavelengths mean their range is lower - they're more easily blocked by physical objects.
The world is going mobile and we're consuming more data every year, particularly as the popularity of video and music streaming increases. Existing spectrum bands are becoming congested, leading to breakdowns in service, particularly when lots of people in the same area are trying to access online mobile services at the same time. 5G is much better at handling thousands of devices simultaneously, from mobiles to equipment sensors, video cameras to smart street lights.
Most countries are unlikely to launch 5G services before 2020, but South Korea is aiming to get in there first and launch next year, with its three largest network operators agreeing to kick off at the same time. China is also racing to launch services in 2019. Read more on this on BBC.

Europe has fined Google $5 billion (€4.34 billion)

The €4.34 billion ($5 billion) penalty announced Wednesday by the European Commission is the latest salvo in an extended battle between Google and regulators in Brussels, who have subjected the tech company to three antitrust investigations. The Commission said the firm had used the mobile operating system to illegally "cement its dominant position" in search. The Commission has also ordered Google to give manufacturers more freedom when deciding which apps to install on Android smartphones.
Google will have to stop preloading Android apps on phones, but Gmail, YouTube, Maps and Chrome have become so essential that customers are bound to seek them out.
At a press conference in Brussels, Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager said consumers needed choice. And she suggested the ruling could lead manufacturers to sell smart devices using different versions of the Android operating system to Google's, such as Amazon's Fire OS, which she said they had been prevented from doing.

Antivirus:- General Knowledge

The best antivirus product:- There are so many antivirus providers in the market that specialize in many different things, so it’s hard to say which is perfect for you. Most of the Antivirus products use the same technology for locating and removing viruses. It is recommended to look for a product that is built to remove Viruses, Malware, Adware and Ransomware. There are paid and free Antivirus products and it is up to the user to select. If you have some resources and access to pay for the Antivirus products, it is far better to use paid ones.
The important features of an Antivirus:- All the main features are important as they work together to keep your system safe from cyber-criminals. At least, you should ensure to use a product that includes a real-time virus scanner, firewall, adware protection, safe-browsing security - these should keep you protected all-around.
Antivirus Protection against Identity Theft:- Identity theft is becoming one of the most commonly growing topic in the past few months, as identity theft gets named the fastest growing global crime affecting 2 in 5 people. Antivirus is capable to protect users from the cyber-attacks that can steal personal data, but it does not monitor user's identity or help if identity is compromised. There are some providers working in providing identity protection and data monitoring to their customers which is different from Antivirus products.

Self-Driving Cars Don't Need Rules Yet

As per the report from Bloomberg, the U.S. Regulator says that the Self-Driving Cars Don't Need Rules yet.  As per this report, it’s premature to regulate the self-driving vehicles being tested by companies such as General Motors Co. and Waymo LLC, the U.S. government’s top auto safety official said.

“At this point the technology is so nascent I don’t think it is appropriate today to regulate this technology,” Heidi King, deputy administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, said in an interview. “It’s not there yet, but each and every day we are open to identifying when the time is right.”

King’s comment reaffirms the agency’s commitment to a hands-off approach to rules for autonomous vehicles that safety advocates have criticized for being too lax. The Uber Technologies Inc. self-driving SUV that struck and killed a pedestrian in March fueled fresh calls for oversight. Read more from this link.
